Reizei Tamemitsu (冷泉為満)

Tamemitsu REIZEI (June 10, 1559 - March 29, 1619) was a kugyo (high court noble) and a poet who lived from the late Sengoku period (period of warring states) to the early Edo period. He was the head of the Reizei family (the Kami-Reizei family). His father was Tamemasu REIZEI. His children were Tameyori REIZEI, Tamekata FUJITANI (founder of the Fujitani family), and two daughters (concubine of Norihira TAKATSUKASA and concubine of Takaari AYANOKOJI). His official position was Shosanmi (Senior Third Rank) Dainagon (chief councilor of state). His original name was Tamefusa. His Buddhist name was Shoryuingesshogenkaku.
